Sassy
"Sassy" Quartet, the 2012 Sweet Adelines International Region 9 Champions, travel from both Florida coasts to sing together. Their love of four-part a cappella-style harmony brought them together last year and in April, they competed with twenty-one other quartets from around the State and the east coasts of Georgia and South Carolina. Winning the title offers them the opportunity to represent the Region in Denver and compete with more than fifty International quartets vying for international placement.
All are experienced singers, Donna Hill, Lead of the group, is a Ft. Myers resident, while Betty Meinholz, Bass, lives in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. Denise de la Cal, Baritone, and Chelsea Young, Tenor, both reside in Ft. Lauderdale. So, as you can see, this busy foursome has to devote not only their talent, but time and travel to perfect their art form!
